I’m a 3D graphics designer/artist/animator by day, aspiring slot car racer by night, and this is my blog. I live in SoCal, with my awesome wife who really likes racing!
Here are a few pics of my beginning adventure into the DIGITAL world of 1:32 slot cars. I’m pretty sure that all my old H.O. 1:64 scale slot car stuff I have been collecting over the years will be sold on eBay in order to fund this new exciting digital form of racing multiple cars on only two lanes. Very very fun indeed! Oh, and the exquisite detailed cars are amazing! And fast too!!! I prefer to run my cars without the ground force magnets. It makes the racing more realistic IMHO.
Here’s my layout that has an average of 43 feet of track length in a small 4 x 8 footprint.

Love those night time streaked light photo’s!
I am acquiring a few #2 banked turns to add some more overall speed to mag-less racing. I just love the way the tail slips out if you hit the gas too soon coming out of a turn!
This is what I want to build later this year once I have the track configuration all figured out. Just a little bit larger (yes!) layout 12 x 5.5 feet with an average 96 feet of track length.
Check out the quick animation I made of the wall cabinet I want to build.
